I've been fortunate to have developed friendships with some wonderful people that helped to bring this concept about. Most of them, artists in various fields with incredible talent and warm energy who collaborate with other artists creating very special events. ...Wouldn't it be wonderful if more people were here to take part in this happening? If only someone would connect them to others within other artistic communities and those outside of the artistic realm who are looking for something real and deliciously unique... My friends share a goal of bringing people together through music, theater, dance, fine art... in a professional setting that not only entertains, but promotes the development of new thought processes, being open to new experiences and digging deep to find the core of one's own inspiration.
I created The House That We Built,   www.thehousethatwebuilt.com  for a couple of reasons: Myself being an artist, I know, first hand, the difficulty of promoting oneself-- especially if the work is not easily categorized. Having a creative spirit, self promotion is a lot of work, it can be costly and it can be a lonely place. I wanted to create an environment that encourages the spontaneity of an idea and fuels the fire for ongoing creativity and productivity. I believe that artists are the historians of time and space that present us with what is and what can be if we so choose it. The House That We Built, though currently confined to the internet, is a place that wants people to come as they are, as long as they are willing to share and help to facilitate the importance of personal growth for the well being of self and others through creativity.
Where many sites are exclusive to one field of art, or one style, The House That We Built is open to diverse artistic visions that in turn attract a broader audience.
In variety, we find untapped resources. We serve as reservoirs for one another here ... the place on the net about the artists...
